I have felt called to ministry for as long as I can remember, for sure since I was a little girl. I felt, at times, like I never really answered the call because wouldn't that mean I go to work at a church and my free time is consumed with learning the Word? What exactly does "being in ministry" look like and what does it mean? I will share my journey one day but for now, I will say I have stayed true to my love for Jesus, but I still felt the stirring in my soul that I was not fulfilling my true purpose. I listened to a sermon once and the pastor was communicating our work is our ministry. For years I did not feel confident in how to minister in the workplace?
Secondly, I am very much a girly-girl, it just is who I am. Does committing to a life of ministry mean I cannot express myself in clothes, jewelry, and make-up which make me feel my best? I'm most happy in a beautiful pair of pumps but will I be judged for being too dramatic?
I began praying. Asking God to show me what it would look like. I'm already living my life committed but show me how I take the next steps. How to stop dividing my world into boxes and extend myself by using my worship and faith at work. I know my heart and I know my passion is to help and serve people. In business, I want to help others reach their dreams. I am not a cheerleader of dreams I am your chauffeur driver to your dreams. I want to watch the ride all the way to the top so I may then celebrate YOU!
Sometimes my own legalistic attitude gets in the way. Why does it have to be work or ministry? What happened if my career and life were a marketplace ministry. My business is called "be" Boutique PR because I want your marketing for your business to BE all it can be so you may see your business BE exactly what you want. Does the church need to stay inside the walls of a building or can I BE what I want to be? What I want to be is a woman so rested in God I live my life as an example in all areas.
My work, today, is truly my worship and I take it a day at a time trusting God to work with me through the next phone call, meeting, new client. To make the choices I will need to lead others to Him and be an influencer for HIM.
I already know what happens when you take God as your business partner - why wouldn't I share I have the greatest business partner in Him and He wants to team up with you as well. In the "God Tank" everyone gets a deal. It takes courage because others will judge when you step outside the contemporary doors of traditional business and work in worship.
But that is ok!
We are needed and CALLED!
So Much Love,
Tracie
P.S. Need Prayer? Prayer is powerful! I believe God wants to meet your needs and reveal His promises to you. Something extraordinary happens when two or more agree together in prayer.
In Matthew 18:19, Jesus said, “If any two of you agree touching any matter on this earth, it shall be done.” Whatever you're concerned about and need prayer for — I want to stand in faith with you and believe that God is going to move mightily in your life.
